Fair use of the notebook
Read it, bookmark it, send links to friends planning trips. Mass copying, passing the writing off as yours, or attempts to break the site are not allowed.
Age
The notebook is meant for adults: at least 18, and at least 21 in places where local rules demand that for the venues mentioned.
Notes, not advice
Cards capture accommodation and leisure details as understood on the revision date. They are neither an offer nor professional counsel. Prices, availability, age limits and house rules need confirming with each hotel.
Interests of the publisher
Full disclosure first: Northfield Park Associates LLC, our publisher, operates a casino venue in Northfield, Ohio. It has no guest rooms, so it has no place in a hotel list and is left out. It owns none of the ten hotels; only MGM Grand Detroit breaks that independence. It answers to MGM Resorts International, which is also our publisher's parent group, so its card is tagged “Sister property (same parent group)”. Editors set every position, affiliate commission funds the notebook, and the publisher holds a commercial interest in this region. See the affiliate disclosure.
Third parties
Hotels, reservation platforms and other outside sites linked from here act on their own account. We carry no responsibility for their rate changes, resort or amenity charges, card holds, cancellation conditions or contract terms. Any stay is agreed between you and whoever takes the reservation.
Intellectual property
Writing, layout, monogram plates and icons are the publisher's property. Hotel names remain trademarks of their holders and appear purely to identify each property. Every monogram was drawn by us and none is a hotel logo.
Remit of the MindShift notebook
Our site provides information exclusively about accommodation, resort leisure and travel amenities. We do not promote or facilitate participation in gambling.
Liability
Within legal limits, the publisher disclaims responsibility for losses traced to trusting these pages, or to downtime. Non-excludable consumer protections remain intact.
Governing law
These terms sit under the laws of Ohio, plus federal US law where relevant. Ohio courts hear disputes unless consumer rules where you reside grant a different venue.
